A placement test is required for all students wishing to enroll in foreign language classes beyond the first year if he/she has not been enrolled in the prior level class at the MHSRC and will be administered by the teacher for admission to this class. Spanish III (Honors)- Carol Tripp, Instructor
Third year high school level Spanish course. Third year students will do a cursory review of the tenses introduced in level II. The level III class will cover all of the subjunctive tenses (present, present perfect, imperfect & pluperfect) & the situations which require their uses. Vocabulary is based upon text readings (cultural, historical & current events). During the 2nd semester, students are required to have one-one conversations (interviews) with the instructor.
A placement test is required for all students wishing to enroll in foreign language classes beyond the first year if he/she has not been enrolled in the prior level class at the MHSRC. Placement test will be administered by the teacher for admission to this class. Students should take the placement test prior to purchasing a textbook. Placement tests will be given at the MHSRC during the months of April or early May.
Students are required to have an 85 grade average in Spanish II before they can move into Spanish III.

Continuing Story
The family travels to Nain, has dinner with Simon the Pharisee, witnesses the story of the healing of the paralytic. Everyone in the family and their friends travel to Jerusalem to attend the Feast of the Tabernacles. Some of their little group stay in Bethany with Nicodemus who was a friend. They visit Mary, Martha, and Lazarus, and all attend the Feast in Jerusalem where they join with Jesus and the disciples. They are all there during the trial and crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. In the final chapter of this volume, Christ gives His command to “go and teach all nations”.

Wheelock's Latin is the standard Latin text origianlly written for college students. Our students will have the opportunity to revisit and reinforce the grammar of Latin and its vocabulary while focusing on the translation of sententiae antiquae (sentences of ancient Roman origin) and the writings of Cicero, Horace, and Catullus, to name a few. This text will best prepare students for the AP Latin Exam and the upper levels of the National Latin Exam each spring.
